Why £49 to verify?
When you publish, your listing enters a private staging state — not visible on the marketplace yet, but you get a shareable link for feedback. Over the next 7 days our system runs a 14-point automated check: your ID, ownership (HM Land Registry), address (Royal Mail PAF), photos (EXIF + reverse image), sanctions screen, and 9 more. No physical visit. Once every check passes, the listing goes live with the Verified gold badge and stays free forever. If you complete at least 7 of the 14 checks by day 7 you get one free extension; otherwise £25 extends you another 7 days. Nothing verified by day 15 → listing removed.

Pricing questions
Is there really no agency commission on any sale?
Correct. ByHomeOwner never takes a percentage of your sale price or your rent. We're not an estate agent — we're a marketplace. Owners keep 100% of the sale. Agents keep 100% of their commission. Developers keep 100% of the unit sale. We charge for verification, boosted visibility, and (for agents/developers) subscriptions. That's it.
What happens if my listing fails verification?
You'll see exactly which of the 14 checks didn't pass, with a note on what to fix (usually a photo issue, an address mismatch, or an ownership document that needs re-uploading). Correct the flagged items and re-submit — no extra fee for the resubmission within your staging window. If you complete at least 7 of the 14 checks by day 7 you get one free 7-day extension; otherwise a small extension fee (£25 / AED 129 / ₹329) buys you another 7 days. Nothing verified by day 15 → listing is removed and the verification fee is not refunded.
Can I list more than one property as an owner?
Yes — every property is verified once and stays free forever after that. Each additional listing pays its own one-off verification fee, then joins your account with no monthly cost. Owners with 5+ active listings are usually better served by our Agent Solo tier, which is also free and gives you a branded shopfront and lead-routing tools.
Do I have to pay monthly for boosts, or can I do one-off?
Both. Premium Boost (£59 / AED 299 / ₹1,899 per month) and Platinum Boost (£129 / AED 649 / ₹3,899 per month) are the monthly subscriptions. If you'd rather not commit, one-off boosts start at £12 / AED 65 / ₹129 for a short burst of homepage rotation and regional spotlight. Cancel or switch at any time — there's no long tie-in.
How does the qualified-lead marketplace work for agents?
When a buyer or renter opts in on a listing you don't own, we route consenting leads by location, budget, and property type to matching agents. You see a preview of each lead (postcode + budget + timeline) and pay only for the ones you claim — £50–£95 for sale leads, £20–£30 for rentals (equivalents in AED / INR). No claim, no charge. Available on Team and Enterprise tiers.
Is pricing the same in the UAE and India?
No — every price above swaps to local currency and to figures we've benchmarked against local portals (Property Finder, Bayut, 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com). Use the country picker at the top of any page to switch. The £0 Verified Listing tier stays £0 (AED 0 / ₹0) in every market; only the one-off verification fee and the boost subscriptions differ.
Can I cancel or downgrade any time?
Yes. Monthly tiers (Owner boosts, Agent Team, Developer Portfolio) cancel with one click from your dashboard and stay active until the end of the current billing month. Downgrading to a free tier keeps your listings live — you just lose the extra exposure and tooling. The one-off verification fee is not refunded once verification has started.
